Mind Your Business

21 Do not pay attention to every word people say, or you may hear your servant cursing you—22 for you know in your heart that many times you yourself have cursed others. Ecclesiastes 7:21-22

This ok?

There’s someone secretly listening to your private conversation.

Or this?

Your personal communications are being read by a stranger.

We have a word for this.

It’s a big word: eavesdropping.

Sometimes we discover eavesdroppers, tell them “Mind your own business!”

We both know it’s difficult to “mind our own business.”

You see we often gossip and judge those near us.

“Eavesdropping just tells us what they are saying about us.”

Don’t buy that line. Don’t swindle yourself with it.

Minding your own business is part of loving your neighbor.

Urge to eavesdrop? Listen to the words of Jesus.

Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.” Mark 4:9
