Let Not Your Hearts Be Troubled"
Never make light of the king, even in your thoughts.
And don’t make fun of the powerful, even in your own bedroom.
For a little bird might deliver your message
and tell them what you said. Ecclesiastes 10:20
Troubled hearts…where should we begin?
Bitterness and anger at unjust government officials?
Perhaps our wild, out of control tongues?
James reminds the tongue is a fire; polluting the whole person.
Jesus reminds that we’ll be judged for every “careless word.”
Bird Creator hears every careless word.
Our sinful natures exposed by words from our mouths.
We use careless words about leaders, the rich, powerful.
Why? Could it be troubled hearts?
Might the trouble come from feelings of powerlessness, worry, fears?
New Year approaches…
The Savior of the World calls… “Trust in God.
Believe in me.
Let not your hearts be troubled.”
Troubled Heart? Look at the moon…watch it cycle through its phases. The moon has cycled through its phases ALL of your life. God controls lunar cycles. He will protect your troubled heart.
